Falz, Olamide and Wande Coal gets airplay ban By NBC for what is described as Vulgar and constant use of indecent lyrics.

!. Falz’ This is Nigeria was banned for using lyrics like “this is Nigeria, look how we are living now, everybody be criminal”

2. Olamide’s See Mary See Jesus was banned for casual use of the names of “MARY and JESUS” regarded as sacred by the Christian faith which contravenes section 4.3.1e.

3. Wande Coal’s Iskaba considered unfit for airing with vulgar lyrics ” girl you de make kolo, shaking the ass like kolo”

Apparently Falz’s line “this is Nigeria; look how we living now. everybody be criminal” has been flagged “vulgar” and the song is now declared “unfit for radio”.

See why sometimes I can’t blame our musicians if they choose to give social commentary a wide berth?
