A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has attacked Ovation magazine boss, Mr. Dele Momodu for asking the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to accept defeat and congratulate President Buhari over the phone.
Dele Momodu had on Tuesday, February 26, sent an advisory message to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on Twitter urging him to accept defeat.
”My dear WAZIRIN, as a believer, you are aware that only God can give or take power. You’ve written your name in gold. Do not wait a minute longer. Please, pick that phone and call President Muhammadu Buhari. You have much more to gain Sir… Pass on the burden!” he wrote.
Reno, however, believes such advice from Momodu should be given to Atiku through private channels and not on a public space like Twitter.
In response to him, Reno on Twitter wrote:
“Dear Dele Momodu, I know for a fact you have Atiku’s phone number, email address, and WhatsApp details. Why do you choose to do this publicly? Why add to the already heavy burden the man is carrying? He is carrying an elephant. Why add a snake to his load?
Earlier, Senate President Bukola Saraki conceded defeat and congratulated winners in the Kwara presidential and national assembly elections with a tweet.
”I wish the candidates that emerged in the Kwara polls all the best in their attempts to serve our people. It is my prayer that the good people of Kwara State will always have the best from any government both at the state and federal levels,” Saraki tweeted
